# Papusa

I am new to Fort Lauderdale, can someone recommend an El Salvadorian restaurant that serves papusa?

You might have more luck at the [Chowhound Florida board website](http://chowhound.chow.com/boards/10). A [search](http://www.chow.com/search?query=ft+lauderdale+papusas&board_name=Florida&from_date=1+year+ago&search_board_id=10&type=Topic) there pulls up a lot of possibilities.

And you will be able to find more places by searching with the proper name:

Pupusa.

The restaurants that serve it are called Pupuserias, or just look for Salvadoran restaurants.

And always beware of the fast food interpretations of the dish, we Salvadorans do roll our eyes at clueless attempts in different countries to change the way they are made.

Thank you, I am hoping to find them made as well as my dear friend up in Boston did. Our conversations were always limited due to our language barrier, But man did we eat together! Sorry about the spelling…Pupusa…:smack:
