[This guy](http://gizmodo.com/5384294/flying-with-hawks) uses trained hawks and other raptors to find thermals for him when he goes paragliding.

Dang, that’s cool.

I saw this with my own eyes at Saranghot Hill in Nepal this May. It’s growing in popularity - and is absolutely amazing. Some of them use eagles.

A hang glider pilot once told me that an eagle had followed _him_ into thermals.
