I never have had the slightest feeling that my child was “my creation”. As if she was a novel I wrote, or a table I refinished or something. Very weird idea. I am proud of my daughter because she’s a great human being and she’s a member of my family. I’m also proud of my husband, my dad, and other people whose existence I had no physical part in.
