Thanks! Interesting read. Also I like the quote that the ban was in part done to prevent those types of allergic reactions that some people argue are the reason they pack their kids’ lunches. They ignore that kids, especially younger ones who may not know what is in their meals, may exchange foods without knowing the allergens it has.
As to the proposed alternative, I wonder how many of the parents who may not like the banning would be OK instead to have repeated warnings in case the food they offer does not measure up to standards when compared to the one provided by the school.
