Parents: Toy Storage ideas?

The satisfied customer.

Altogether now… “awwwwww”

Awwwww

Wow, she’s grown! When I pictured Maeve, I thought of her as just barely a toddler, and now look at her! What a cutie.

Oh, she’s getting so big!
Have you guys had her out at the pools at all this summer? We usually go out to Scott County Park pool. Less crowded, cheaper, and open later. Not all the fancy sprinklers and slides but more room!
As for toy storage I was going to suggest good will when I first saw the thread title, but that was after spending two days weeding through five heathens toys and would have been a bit snarky.
Besides not watching Toy Story before getting rid of toys you should also go through the toys while children are not there.
Because even though they haven’t touched a toy since the day they got it, on that day it becomes their most cherished toy.
I learned that lesson the hard way.

The only thing that worked was removing toys. If you have 50 bins, you will have 51 bins worth of stuff. My kids live like Royalty, so I don’t feel guilty if they have to ‘get by’ with 25% fewer toys on demand. The rest are stored up.

Small bins are actually better, because you don’t cause a ruckus finding stuff and pull out what is needed. Those bins in the link are helpful.
