I have two daughters. They were vaccinated identically. One is autistic, one is not. Now I don’t know WHAT to think!! Why, it’s almost as if the vaccinations were totally irrelevant to their autism status! ---

While it’s true that it’s difficult to change the minds of people who are already entrenched in their vaccine conspiracy theories, I think that the more accurate information out there, the better, because then you can reach people who haven’t made a decision or become entrenched yet. I had my oldest child in 2002, when the “vaccines cause autism” scare was in full fury, and there were a LOT of scary websites about how vaccines could damage your child, and not a whole lot of debunkings of those scary websites. These days I think the debunking-to-scare-site ratio is a lot better, which is a good thing for new parents. ---

I am jealous. I’ve been accused by antivaxers many times of being a Pharma Shill, had my professional qualifications questioned and seen a wide assortment of ad hominems. But never have I been accused of being an “Agent 666”. Obviously I need to update my profile photo to the one with horns and a tail. ---

Vaccines aren’t “chemicals” in the sense you mean it. They are as natural as the diseases they protect against. And, your child has had some level of immune system since it was born. There’s simply no such thing as it “starting up” at some arbitrary later point.
