So off I go with The Love of My Life for four or five nights in Paris. We will be arriving in the middle of July. (Yeah, I know.) Where ought we to stay? I note the George V is now us to EUR925/night, by the way. Someplace where we can walk to the Metro, someplace we can walk to shopping. She likes to have breakfast in the hotel. Ideas? ---

We’re going in November. We’re staying in the Waldorf Trocadero- it is our first time there so we are hardly experts. ---

Well, that all depends, what’s your budget and what kind of hotel are you looking for ? Just some place to crash for the night, or a Parisian hedonist extravaganza ? ---

Nice enough for a classy vacation. Certainly the US$2 or 300/night range is acceptable. ---

I just use [hotels.com](http://hotels.com), most of the time… ---

You could go for the [Millennium](http://www.millenniumhotels.com/fr/millenniumparis/index.html) on Boulevard Haussmann. You can’t get a better shopping location. It’s part of a generic chain and pretty modern inside. For something a bit more French, the [Hotel Louvre](http://www.hoteldulouvre.com/en/?) is good. ---
