Have you seen _The Simple Life?_ The woman (22? 23?) is a completely beyond any excuses of age. She is close to being a pathological liar. She acts purely in her own self interest. She has little idea of the effects of her actions, nor does she appear to care. She treats anybody however she pleases with little regard for anyone other than her self. ---

Oh, and by the way **Lamia** When I was in my early twenties I never thought I did anything stupid myself. Ten to fifteen years later I look back at some of the shit I did and I turns out that Yeah, I DID do a lot of stupid shit. But granted it wasn’t on the same scale as Paris, but hey, I didn’t have that kind of money either. ---

I’ve usually avoided direct reference to my age before, but I am in fact almost exactly Paris Hilton’s age. I didn’t say I’ve never done anything stupid, I said I don’t do stupid things _like Paris Hilton_. Just because you see yourself in Miss Hilton doesn’t mean all twenty-somethings behave the same, or would with sufficient cash. I cannot imagine adopting Paris Hilton’s lifestyle even if I could afford it, nor can I imagine being satisfied with it. I knew plenty of rich gals in college, including heiresses, daughters of diplomats and high-ranking military and government officials, and even aristocrats. I’m talking people who went to Swiss boarding schools, wintered in the south of France, and had to choose which horse to bring to college with them. Although there were drunks, sluts, and bimbos in the mix, most were bright, thoughtful, and hardworking. All had at least chosen to give higher education a shot. I’m sure Mom & Pop Hilton would have been happy to pay for their little girl to go to any school she wanted, and there must have been some that would have been willing to accept her. Or she could have taken an interest in the family business, pursued a career of her own, travelled around the world, mastered the zither, or done any number of things. Instead she decided to devote herself to. . .well, as far as I can tell, nothing even remotely worthwhile or interesting. She could have done practically anything she wanted, and it seems that she’s thus far made the choices of a shallow idiot. Maybe she’ll turn her life around, and even if she doesn’t it’s her right to be a shallow idiot, but don’t try to tell me that everyone of her age is the same way. ---
