It’s fun but irrelevant. The people that McCain was aiming his ad at (those who think Obama is too lightweight) are simply not going to take any notice of (or even necessarily learn about) the Paris thing. Not only that, but the Paris thing would be seen by that type of person as affirmation of precisely what McCain was saying in the first place (that Obama is a young, celeb who lack gravity). ---

[/QUOTE] Yes, but it’s not aimed at those people. It’s aimed at the younger, more with-it, crowd that form a large part of Obama’s base, and among those it will reinforce support for Obama. ---

But I suppose you could grease the kid so she could take shortcuts through slat fences) Paris Hilton was never the lamp of my loins, but when she went to jail and it was leaked that she takes Valtrex for HSV2, it pretty much transformed her from a sexual grotesque to an asexual being in my eyes. But at least she still thinks she’s “hot.” Testimony to the the indominability of the human spirit, I guess. ---

Of course no one is taking her video seriously and no one is under the impression that she came up with this rebuttal herself. It’s a comedic short. Written by comedy writers who asked Paris to star in it. Obamas team had nothing to do with it. It really makes McCain look bad and Kathy Hilton’s comments more true. While Obama is discussing real topics and issues trying to become our next president McCain is busy in a humorous video battle with Paris Hilton. In McCain’s attempt to paint Obama as a Hollywood celebrity he ended up dragging himself into a Hollywood gossip catfight. Nice job bud. ---

I don’t think her acting was “excellent”. I think it was “good enough”. Still, I chuckled. (I saw it on one of the news channels. They seemed entertained, as well.) I almost missed the last part: “I’m Paris Hilton, and I totally approve of this Hot ad.” (Or words to that effect.) ---
