On the other hand, it’s probably a good thing Fox News chose that particular… angle… in their reporting – if they’d said “There’s absolutely no danger whatsoever, move along citizen, nothing to see here!”, then I’d be re-viewing my escape option to Mars right about now… ---

From there, it would just sit there slowly pulling in matter and heating up the Earth until it was gone. Not sure how long it would take, but I think it’s awhile. Like a couple thousand years or so.
