Provided no one else will ever have to look at your code AND the next time you have to work on it, you’ll remember which part is FREDDIE and which part is SPLUNGE (or PHONE-REST)
I’ve offered to teach my boss and coworker how to use it, with the idea that after they know how to run it I can teach them how to copy and adapt it to different-format data, and even how to write one from scratch. But my coworker complains there’s too much work already and that we need another person, and the boss says it’s a good idea but there’s no time (or, apparently inclination) to learn. I ask, ‘What happens if a meteorite lands on my head?’ Of course if that happens I’ll be beyond caring, and they’ll just have to find someone who knows ancient sequential programs. (Or hire someone to convert them to object oriented.)
Just to boggle your mind even further, it used to be that you didn’t own your phone – you rented it, as part of your phone service.
Now, get off my lawn!
Isn’t NANPA the authority on Area Codes?
ETA: They have maps!
New York City requires 1 plus the area code and phone number for all calls - even within the same area code. NYC has at least 5 area codes -212,718,347,646 and 917 and calls between them are local calls, not toll calls.
And you shared a line with your neighbors.
I’m old, but not quite that old.
