Not that there’s any significance to that number, of course. I just happened to think that this was a good post to throw a party. So, come one, come all, check your clothes at the door, and PARTY ON! Be sure to tip the bartender, and don’t skimp on the massage oils, that’s what they’re there for. Just don’t open that door to the right of the bathroom, that’s where I’m hiding all my clutter, and if there’s anything in the fridge for which you can’t determine its state of matter, don’t eat it (unless you really WANT to). Have fun!

But I’ll preface it by saying sorry, I’m pretty new here. And congrats Chronos!
For some reason, the post counts never seem to match up. Like when I see people having post parties for their _n_th post, the number of posts I see is usually well over that number… I first noticed it in Bottle of Smoke’s “Hey there stranger” thread, when some people said “This is my first post” but most had post counts of at least 10…
Just idle curiosity… if anyone cares to enlighten me I shal await an answer with bated breath!

The post count shows how many post a user has made up to the current time, not up to the time the post was made.

Hi again **Rasa**! I see that Juan already answered your question, but I thought I’d throw in my two cents as well. Chronos can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that all the information that appears in our posts comes from the user database, so the most current information is always displayed. This includes post count, sig line, etc. This caused me no end of confusion when I first got here, because I would read a post in which someone referred to someone’s sig line and it wouldn’t match that person’s current sig. It still causes me confusion if I read a quote in a post from someone who has changed their username. The quote will say “originally posted by X”, but the name in the thread will be the person’s new name. And I confuse easily enough as it is.🙂

Meanwhile, I know for a fact that the Creme Soda kegs are already here… _burp_ Dangit, where are those Clydesdales when you need them?
The other posters are correct about the post counts changing with each post. It’s also a convenient excuse for when an absent-minded person accidentally starts their party on the wrong number… Not, of course, that this party has anything to do with my post count, of course, and if it did, I’d naturally be sure to start it at the right time.
