Joquasha Rosado, 17, was arrested last week following the bloody attack at South Richmond High School in Staten Island. She was subsequently named in a criminal complaint charging her with felony assault, weapons possession, and harassment. This sounds like a case of not enough “tough love” or maybe “too much tough love”. I don’t usually blame the parents when a kid loses their direction. But something went very wrong with this kid. Say what you want, but I would say she stinks. Maybe she took a few beatings on account of her parents giving her the name “Joquasha”? As soon as I saw that name, I thought to myself, "“Something is going wrong with this kid.” She took a metal stool and repeatedly beat a male student over the head? WTF? ---

I’m not surprised she has a chip on her shoulder, being saddled with that “Joquasha” moniker. ---

It’s just too much to handle. You just know that kid is gonna get beaten up many times by her classmates and wind up in jail or in prison. Why would any parents ever do that to a kid? Very sad commentary on today’s parents. ---

I’d speculate the girl is psychologically disturbed. Attacking someone with a metal chair is extreme. No doubt she will eventually attack someone and kill them. She seems to have no control of her temper. I hope this case results in court ordered anger management classes. ---
