Me, too. This Stephen Colbert gimmick makes me think of the wonders Paulsen was able to pull off. My favorite was his refusal to pronounce Herbert Umphrey’s name. That and the lackluster fist pounding. The Smothers need to come back, too! ---

I’d rather have someone you can count on in the White House, even if they are dead, than some of the loose cannons running today. Pat’s got my vote. ---

One of his campaign slogans was, “I’ve upped my standards, now up yours”. Legend has it that When Huber Humphrey met Pat Paulsen he remarked, pehaps only half-jokingly, “you cost me the election”. ---
