Patrick Kane’s 84 million dollar contract goes into effect this year. Now, he’s being investigated for supposedly raping a woman he met at the bar While Kane’s has had a couple of off-ice alcohol related incidents, this is a much more serious charge if there’s any truth to it. To me, it stinks of gold digging. Kane’s name slipped out of the police report , but not the name of the woman. Coincidence? I think not. Kane will have to pay this woman off. He hadn’t been skewered too badly in the Chicago media so far. Why would the woman’s name be released? It’s a criminal matter, the alleged victim’s name is never released (even if it is somehow discovered by the media, the relevant authorities never release it unless it turns out to be some sort of fraud). Also, it’s a little too early to assert that the woman is a “golddigger”. ---

Since the story was leaked to the media, I assume that the alleged victim was the cause or assisted in the leak. If we had the name of the woman, it would be far easier to judge the merit of the claim. Was this a case of her going home with him from a bar after a few drinks and not getting a phone call the next day? ---

If his name is in an arrest report, that is public knowledge UNLESS it will identify the victim. I know, because I often confirm info after a soldier is arrested. ---

I’m moving this to the Pit, especially after the last rape accusation thread that went on in this forum, which turned bad and had to be modded constantly, so it’s either closing this topic, telling the OP not to make them due to his past history of posting in/about them, or moving it to the Pit.
