I hope he didn’t do it but mostly I wish everyone could just withhold judgment until something is proven. Too bad “innocent until proven guilty” is just a bunch of words these days. ---

When has Crosby been accused of rape? Mostly I’d have a harder time believing it due to his reputation. Same for someone like, as noted, Stamkos. (If you want someone from the Blackhawks, perhaps Duncan Keith?) There have been players for the Pens I might be less inclined to give the benefit of the doubt. Like I’ve stated, Kane has a reputation for violence in the past. And whether he did it or not: a.) The first concern should NOT be, “I hope this doesn’t affect the season!” b.) I’ll bet she’s just some slutty golddigger. Now go find a source about your claims that the rape statistics are false. (And note: it did not say 1 in 4 will be raped – it said sexual assault. It also included _male_ victims.) I’m not saying that there haven’t been lies spread by feminists in the past. I’m asking YOU to prove this particular one, not just stating your own personal feelings. Otherwise, I’m going to give your comments the respect they deserve: none. And again, “innocent until proven guilty” is a legal concept. It has nothing to do with speculation. ---

I have no idea if the alleged victim is telling the truth or has some ulterior motive. I have no stake in the outcome. People are going to speculate. I don’t blame **dalej42** per se for having such a small mind that he can’t think for himself because of terrible reporting. But biased reporting is going to make the truth in this case, and subsequent ones, harder to find because people get so polarized by what they hear. ---

Again, you cite one thing which may or may not be true (I can’t be bothered to follow your link because it’s irrelevant), which is anecdotal. “One story I heard turned out to be bullshit, therefore all rape and domestic violence accusations and statistics must also be bullshit.” You could be 100% right for all we know\* but you can’t come up with a single real thing to back up your opinion. \*Ha! Probably a wise corporate move. By the time all the legalities shake out, it will be time for release of #17. As this keeps going on, any potential jury pool is getting more tainted. I would hate to be Blackhawk management right now. But I’d rather do that than be **dalej42**. ---
