# Payroll--Give Me Back My Sick Day!

I love dealing with people in payroll. I left my last job on May 15th. I got my last paycheck on May 15th, and the check for my vacation payout on May 31st. Oddly enough, they deducted health insurance, life insurance, etc contributions from the vacation check. They were not supposed to do this.
(before anyone asks, I talked to HR and the benefits people and everyone agreed that this was an error).
I finally got my vacation pay corrected (with a little extra thrown in thanks to HR) on August 15th. 3 months I had to wait for money that was legitimately mine. Grr.

In my last position, we bosses would sign as approvers of the people’s sheets (which they had already signed) and then give them photocopies of what we were sending to P/R. Forgery on a timesheet is very disturbing.
