# PC Experts:  Is msblast.exe a Virus?

Can someone confirm if msblast.exe is a virus, or an important file? Also, scanning once w/Mcafee in safe & dos mode, the latest update indicated this file is a virus. And, Mcafee staff assures me scanning twice will remove it. Is this a real solution, or a put-off?

Note: I can’t scan in Windows since downloading the updated files was blocked by the virus at about the 58% complete mark. Even after downloading a zip file and scanning in DOS, windows still won’t recognize the new files…I experimented with this.

Any answers/suggestions to any part(s) of this thread greatly appreciated! Help!
