I have NOT bought a NEW desktop computer in over 10 years.
So I have looked at the PCs recommended in this thread and looked at PCs at my local Wal-Mart the first thing I noticed is NONE of the PCs have built-in optical drives(i.e DVD and/or Blu-Ray drives).
Are they not a thing anymore? Are games and software only available for download now?
I don’t have any friends on Steam. Or any weird sex games, for that matter.
I see them in the store from time to time but I don’t understand them. From what I can gather most of them are little more than digital graphic novels with the occasional dialogue choice that I doubt has much if any effect on the “gameplay.”
But clearly there is a paying audience for that kind of stuff, so good for them I guess.
Oh no no. There are many branching story lines and positions to choose and speed of thrust and location, and sometimes you get to fuck your sister if it was made in Japan and …
I mean… yeah, me too, I don’t play those disgusting things.
Huniepop, from probably going on ten+ years ago now, was a fun satirical take on the anime dating game formula with terrible personality characters, amusing dialogue and some fun Match 3 style gameplay (assuming you like Match 3 games). But it also had your naked anime stuff so it’s the one game I can think of with a legitimate “I play it for the plot” angle on a sex game. Everyone on my Steam friends list can just live with knowing that I played it though; it’s not as though I’m Steam friends with my mom.
Back in the day I’d be in game sale threads and places would have bundles of terrible anime visual novels with “Blackmailing My Lust-Crazed Sister” and “Mind Controlling My Mother Into Servitude” which was a big bunch of “No thanks” from me. Invariably, you’d have a couple posters smugly saying how tame those games were and if we only knew… Sorry, weirdo dude, I’m not going to feel all bad and vanilla that I drew the line somewhere well before non-consensually doinking my immediate relatives.
Yes reusing game titles is highly annoying. Mortal Kombat, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Doom, God of War, Hitman. COD Modern Warfare 3 seems particularly strange, apparently it’s the same characters are the first CODMW3 but different plot?
The Game Award nominees are up if you feel like browsing and/or voting. You can log in to vote with a Google, Facebook or Twitter account; no need to make a special account for the site.
A bit more detail here. It’s not about the score, folks have been maxing out for years. It’s rather about forcing a crash by playing for too long. Very interesting stuff! I didn’t realize that Tetris had never been beaten; I thought the level 29 kill screen just looped forever and was as close to beating it as anybody could get.
Appears that all of their titles were originally about $9.99, then about a year ago they raised the prices of everything in their catalog specifically so they can discount it 99%, so it ended up being --surprise!-- exactly the same as the price it was before.
Price history for all of their games is the same. Looks like a Russian-based “developer.” Probably full of malware and a money laundering scam to boot.
I was a bit tired of COD zombies so I fired up Planetside 2 after about 5 years or so. Lots of new vehicles and mechanics as far as I can tell , pretty empty though and so it’s pretty much spawn die rise lather repeat as I am not at all good. Still seems stable and entertaining, just about 8 years too late to have maintained any traction .
I used to play Planetside 2 a lot, but the new systems don’t seem very fun to me. Luckily you can still mostly play the old way and ignore the new stuff.
