Nope. One of Jack Handey’s “Deep Thoughts,” an older feature of Saturday Night Live.

Peaches aren’t my favorite fruit (that would be blackberries…or raspberries…or mangoes). I did make [these muffins](http://domesticgoddess.ca/recipes.php?recipe=10103) this month, though, and they are pretty good.

The peach’s resemblence to human anatomy is surpassed by the Coco de Mer fruit of the Seychelles.

I’d imagine any cooking show preparing a meal of these and geoduck clams would have to move to Skinamax.

I once had siamese kiwis, and they looked exactly like a pair of monkey testicles. We watched them shrivel…unable to consume them due to the monkeyballosity of them.

You could have made a killing on ebay with those.

I don’t like the fuzzy peach skin either. Ludy is right, you should be able to peel the skin away from a good peach.

> Nothing beats the taste of a peach. Now I am not talking about what they sell at grocery stores that “pretend” to be peaches. A real peach needs to be bigger than your fist, \* at least \* and they **must** be just soft enough for the skin to be peeled off nicely, but not too soft.

Is [this](http://www.gaffney-sc.com/Waterpeach.htm) big enough for you? 😃

I was living in NC when this was being built and I remember newspaper articles commenting on how butt-like it looked before they did the final paint job and added the leaf 🙂 It looked like the town was mooning I-85 traffic!

I don’t think it qualifies as freshly-picked though, not after 25 years.

Mmmmmmmm, peaches. Oozy, drippy, sweet, peachy goodness. And they’re in season at the Farmer’s Market. Mmmmmmmm.

A couple of days ago, I made a salad with baby spinach greens topped by alternating slices of fresh peach and avocado, with a sweet vinaigrette, pecans, and crumbled bleu cheese. Total experiment: yuh-huh-hum. My guest told me I had to write down the recipe.

Mmm, peaches.

I had only ever eaten canteloupe that was already prepared for me. Obviously I liked it because next time Mom and I went grocery shopping I had her buy me a whole one. I was psyched for the fruity goodness as I sliced it across. And opened it only to find the hideous innards! Bleah. I got over it, but that was a shocker.

When I think of melons, I think of my friend who remarks on them the way Peter Griffin does when Lois is in fact holding two melons. Nice casabas. Nice pair of melons. King of the double entendre that guy
