# Peanut butter and banana bites

Take a piece of bread, dab in a huge spoonfull of peanut butter and a few slices of banana, fold it over, and fry in butter.

Food of the Gods, I am telling you.

Elvis’s favorite sandwich. Add bacon, which I have not done yet, and it is a sandwich to die for.

I used to eat those when I was a kid, back in the 50s. Or without frying, but put the butter in with the pbutter and banana.

Had fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches at the Elvis Presley restaurant in Memphis, many moons ago. They made it basically like a grilled cheese and served it with french fries. It was good. It was a bit weird, because the fried bread and side of fries made it both look and smell like a grilled cheese, and then you tasted it and your brain would sort of rebel for a moment. Fun though.

I’m sure all good SDMBers know the story of the King and the Fool’s Gold Loaf sandwiches, right?
