Friday night, towards the end of a five hour drive (to Wisconsin, in fact). We got off at an exit but it turns out there was no McDonalds, it was dark, I just told my boyfriend to pull over. Much more efficient, really. ---

Pee everywhere. “Daddy does it all the time”! was the daughters defense, so Peggy calmly explained that daddy did it outside, by the tree, and was careful not to get any on himself. Not wanting to get into the anatomical differences, she simply explained that daddy could aim his pee, and the daughter couldn’t do that. 3 days later, Peggy is having a dinner party. She’s dressed the daughter up to greet the guests, but has a sitter so that Peggy can focus on impressing her boss and the hospital’s new CEO. During the soup course, everybody looks out the window, and Peggy sees her daughter dancing and playing with the fallen leaves in the yard outside the dining room window. Everyone is just charmed by the little darling. Then the 3 year-old lifts up her skirt, pulls down her pants, and, carefully holding herself to aim, with a wide stance: Pees on the maple tree, not 10 feet from the dining room window.
