Peer Reveiwed Study About Alcohol

Nobody lives forever. Gotta die of something. If you avoided everything that could possibly kill you, you’d just be paralyzed. I’ll continue to live my life how I want, thank you very much.

I almost started a thread about this - specifically about the appallingly stupid and deceptive use of statistics.

60% of the time, statistics work every time.

Methinks a wee bit longer than that. Grapes, grain, and yeast fermenting go way beyond recorded history. Not that I exclude the science behind the report as blatantly biased, but I will still have my Irish coffee on weekends and (hopefully) live to a ripe old age.

I appreciate being modded, but Thread Games? I never ever even go there.

Not sure of your inquiry.
Much laughter and friendship evolved. The moon passing by quietly overhead enhanced, and yes it involved wine and spirits.

Wow, this is drifting off-topic. My bad.

I’ll quit tomorrow.

You don’t actually live longer…It just seems that way

Yes.

At least, that’s how I rationalize it.

Regards,
Shodan

I’m quitting, but it’s due to the fact that I don’t have all my wits about me when I’m drinking and make decisions that lead to more decisions and all of them should probably never have been made in the first place.

I quit yesterday.

Quitting is easy. I’ve done it hundreds of times.

That’s all? You need to get out more.

“A large new global study published in the Lancet has confirmed previous research which has shown that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption.”

This is obviously bullshit. I have consumed small amounts and large amounts of alcohol safely. Just look at me. Why the fuck didn’t they let me know about the study? I could have saved them a bunch of wheel spinning.
