I wonder if Trump’s hatred of Bezos plays any role in this?
or the fact that the CEO of Oracle who wants the contract is a big Trump fan?

Since this isn’t GQ, we’re allowed to just guess?
I’ll guess “hatred of Bezos” is 90% of the decision, with “Oracle big fan” just 35%. This man loves his hatreds; surely indulging his hatreds trumps any concern for loyalty for the Trump.
These percentages add up to 125%. That’s because of the 25% sacrifice to the country and its security needs (Amazon was much more qualified for the contract), a sacrifice the boot-lickers in the Pentagon are making giddily to suck favor with their boss.
