Patti Davis, best known as Ronald Reagan’s daughter, co-wrote a not-horrible but not great Eagles song called “I Wish You Peace” with her then-squeeze Bernie Leadon. ---

Kevin Bacon writes songs for [The Bacon Brothers](http://www.baconbros.com/site.php) with his brother Michael. They’re a really good band. I discovered them on _Philadelphia Chickens_, a children’s album with lyrics by Sandra Boynton. They rocked. ---

Hoyt Axton also wrote two very different anti-drug songs–“The Pusher” (Steppenwolf)and “The No-No Song” (Ringo Starr). Other Shel Silverstien songs include “Sylvia’s Mother” (Dr. Hook) and “Put Another Log on the Fire” (Tompall Glaser). ---
