My great grandmother got a ticket for indecent exposure in the 30s for taking off the skirt portion of her bathing suit, leaving on the leggings, top, etc.

And [here is a picture of a man](http://dreamslikethat.blogspot.com/2010/05/fine-for-indecent-man.html?zx=5280c040a5701bd3) in the 30s getting a ticket for the same thing. he appears to be wearing a sports bra. Of course, that was in the Netherlands.

That’s not a dude! That’s Aunt Millie!

I thought the same thing about the guy behind the “zombie”.

> It makes me wonder if the “wilder” folks in the middle were friends of the photographer: their apparel is different from all the other folks, looser, not as dark and staid. And, they seem to be comfortable with having their photo taken to the point of having goofy glee. Plus, the fact that the photo is directly centered around them. It’s not a snapshot: large format glass negs negate the quick approach, but has the nice feel of a snapshot. Kudos to that early photog, nice peering into backyond.

I’m confused. Which photo is this?

Are you all crazy? It’s Derek Jeter!

The bicycle picture comes just after I finished reading an article on the “Iron Riders”, an all black bicycle corps in 1897 who rode a 1900 mile trek from Montana over mountains and plains to St. Louis. _That’s_ a Chris Rock movie waiting to happen. [Pic](http://www.nrhc.org/img/nrhc/bicycle1.jpg).

I think **Sigmagirl** wanted to say that the guy to the right of Peter Falk and behind the zombie is Derek Jeter.

Check it out…

Someone at Shorpy put together a video montage of the Jersey Shore photos along with a 1901 Edison movie clip and some cool ragtime music for a soundtrack.

[Neat 1900’s movie](http://www.shorpy.com/node/8636)

From the site:
“For maximum impact, view it in Full-Screen mode at 1080p resolution (click “Play,” select 1080p, then click the icon, or else the picture will be fuzzy and small). More videos are in the works, and maybe even a DVD or two. Enjoy!”
