_People_ magazine says Pierce Brosnan is the sexiest man alive. I can live with that. Although I think George Stephanopoulos is mighty yummy, too… So what does everyone else think of _People’s_ choice? ---

I was watching some bad daytime television the other day, and stumbled onto “The Other Half” a talk show with guys (Dick Clark, Danny Bonaducci, the kid from _Saved by the Bell_ who was in the Greg Louganis story, and some doctor). ANYWAY, they were talking about Pierce being the sexiest man alive, and Danny made a great comment. He basically said, “yeah, the guy’s great looking, but when his wife got cancer at the height of his career, he retired instantly to be at her side and stayed there for 2 years, until she died. Now that’s sexy!” Damn right. I agree with the choice, and I think he’s aging much better than Jeremy Irons! ---

Eh. I was standing in line at the grocery store, and the woman in front of me was eyeing the cover. I commented that he wouldn’t have been my first choice, and she agreed. I can think of quite a few people I’d put long before him, but then again I’ve got truly bizarre taste in men. I _rarely_ agree with People’s choices. _shrug_ Yeah, he’s cute, but he’s married to the ultimate plastic woman. -BK ---

Didn’t think the cover of Brosnan was that flattering, but Pierce is definitely a major babe. He’s definitely on my laminated list. Mmm mmm. By some gross oversight, they completely overlooked Patrick Rafter. Then there’s Daniel Day-Lewis… Something about tall, dark and handsome men…with accents. ---

What I don’t understand is this: Pierce Brosnan was alive last year. Last year’s winner is alive this year. I’m guessing they haven’t changed all that much in the interim. Shouldn’t Pierce have won last year or last year’s guy retain his crown this year? ---

Every time I go to the video store there’s this video on the shelf that no-one ever seems borrow. It’s the movie called Grey Owl by the once esteemed director Richard Attenborough. On the cover there is a picture of Pierce Brosnan looking so very ridiculous in his portrayal as some sort of American Native Indian. Richard Attenborough used to win Academy Awards - remember Ghandi? I wonder if his choice of Pierce Brosnan in Grey Owl brought all that to an end. I’ve never seen this movie but I would guess that although Brosnan is indeed very suave and perfect as Bond he is one of the most limited actors alive. Grey Owl must surely have bombed in the biggest way possible. ---

He’s Irish, but his accent when he plays James Bond (and also in most interviews I’ve seen him in) is definitely English. I suppose the fact that Bond works for the British Empire might have something to do with that. 😉 I’m sure he’ll fall back on his old Irish accent if you pour enough Guinness into him though. Hell, pour enough Guinness into _me_ and I’ll speak Irish. 😃 All kidding aside, it must be said that mr. Brosnan is indeed a handsome man. The sexiest alive? I wouldn’t know. But he’s definitely good-looking. ---
