No doubt Fox News will do a story about the Venezuelan election while running text at the bottom saying “Obama dedicates statue to Chavez”. ---

It’s normal in diplomatic circles to send congratulations to a leader whonhas been elected or reelected. Wonder if that was done here. ---

Am I the only one who thinks that the presidental team screwed up on this? Presumably the election date and expected outcome was known and I don’t think I’m going way out on a limb here when I say that they are aware of how things can be twisted so why would you do this in the same news cycle?
