People who use the internet without ad-blockers - why?

The only ads I want to get rid of are the ones on YouTube

But that’s not a big deal. I’ve tried a few YouTube ad blockers but they don’t seem to work well or consistently. Or else, YouTube is better at defeating them on a daily basis.

Isn’t that one of the principles/conceits of the digital age…that everyone can customize their own experience as they see fit? AdBlock and NoScript make the 'web a better place for some people–that’s the bottom line, IMHO.

Adblock Plus does it perfectly.

I can’t do a damn thing about my work computer, but at home, ads are history. I love Adblock Plus.

Because I don’t care. I don’t have malware problems, either on my current mac or on my previous windows machines.

The ads aren’t objectionable and the combination of firewall, a/v and other IDS that I use seem to be doing their job.

No malware issues and if the site uses obtrusive ads too much, Ill just stop using it.

I do also think of it as the payment. I cant claim complete consistency in this area, but I agree with the concept, even I fail in practise at times with fast forwarding or whatever.
