On our football team (the Browns) we have or used to have a player named Ben Gay. Again, no joke- it’s bad enough to have your last name be Gay, but to have Ben too? Merla ---

My ol’ Dad claims, with regards to the tiny hick town of his childhood, that a “Hackett” family owned a number of the stores. The original Mr. Hackett and one son ran a store, another son ran a second, and one daughter ran a haberdashery/fabric store: Hackett and Hackett the barbers. Hackett the butcher. Miss Hackett the dressmaker. Not that I doubt my Dad, but… 🙂 ---

An old classmate of mine had a father with an unfortunate first name, considering his last name was Missing. Dick Missing…he preferred to be called Richard. 🙂 ---
