# People with unfortunate names

A small Chinese restaurant that is a few towns from where I live is called “Wah Yuan”.  
And the most cruel name I have ever seen a parent saddle a child with is:

Ophelia Wang  
(think she got teased much?)

**plnnr** , that reminds me-- there’s a realtor named Dick Tingley in Sechelt, BC.

With a name like that, would you go into a line of work that puts it out on shingles in people’s yards, on bus-stop bench ads, complementary notepads and fridge magnets delivered as junk-mail?

My parents knew a man that worked for the park service, named Forrest Bear.

I roomed with a girl in college who’s father was Donald Duck (she spent a summer working at Disney World. As the recruiter said, how could they not hire her?)

I had a teacher who’s married name was Sandy Beach.
