By whom? Are you speaking as subject or object here?

Again, as already stated, it demonstrably is for most people. It’s also true for yourself in regards to non-personal domains.

There’s no way to tell what your point is. That is your point.

You say this, but I don’t trust humans to tell the truth - I am still correct.

> There isn’t a flaw. Ultimately every human interaction is based on the belief that the other person is telling the truth. You cannot verify they are all the time so you take it on faith, and faith is illogical.

What else should we do, then? You say we can’t believe anything someone else says to be true, because it’s illogical. Is believing everything they say is false any more logical? How can we interpret what others say without illogical faith?

> When the robots replace every truck, and cab driver because they are more cost efficient, safer and environmentally friendly than human drivers we will see a major shift in the economy… it may be a painful transition, but after it’s done there will be a lot more time for poetry.

There’s an idea that robot replacing menial jobs is OK because robots can’t replace more intellectual or artistic pursuits. This is wrong.

Someday AIs will be better than humans not only at poetry but all art. At some point machines will start making art only other machines can appreciate. We’ll be like chimpanzees trying to understand human art.

Damn. _Now_ you tell me.

> I personally am smarter, wealthier, stronger, and when necessary more ruthless than about 95% of Americans. I have fought and killed and watched men die, on my side and (more) on the enemy’s. I do pretty well under the current system, despite being well below the 1% and far, far below the 0.1%. I recognize though that in a Hobbesian world full of people like you have learned to be, I’d do far worse than that.

> As skew as the distribution of wealth, safety, and life satisfaction is in America today, under a widely sociopathic society it’d be vastly more so. One would be either a tycoon with a private army or one would be a peon at risk of random death every day for any reason or no reason.

This is what they’ve found out about mafioso, that the very top lead relatively normal lives, but it was a bitch to be one of the peons.

I’m with you guessing that the OP is in (his/her) teens. When my son was three or so, he discovered the shock value of saying potty words. Of course, he was only three so that was all he had to say. One thinks that the OP has discovered the shock value of saying empathy is bad.

Yes.
