In the past several weeks, I’ve heard at least two Christians say that Christians aren’t perfect. . . as though anyone thought they were. And when someone says, well, I’m a Christian, but I’m not perfect, what’s the correct response? Almost any response I can think of to that question would be insulting. If I saw someone on the Dope calling himself a Pagan and acting like **Omegaman** , I’d say I’m happy that I’m not a Pagan also. People who want to represent their faith in a good light should behave accordingly. ---

**Omegaman** , I don’t see anything unreasonable in **askeptic’s** last post. When anger takes over a person, he or she doesn’t seem to make as much sense. (You’ve seen guys pumped up with road rage. It’s like a temporary insanity or something.) I used to have terrible problems with anger and I just took it out on everybody. Several things came together to help me – one was someone on a forum, another was counselling. The list is too long to describe here. **Omegaman** , as previously stated, I really believe your trying here, but efforts alone don’t matter much to those on the other end of an internet message board. They only have _your words_ to go by and nothing else. That said, I think it would help your cause tremendously to stop implying that the folks around here are “children.” If you’ve got a personal beef with one (or however many) poster(s), then take it up specifically. Impugning the maturity level of a whole group equates to broad-brushing at best, being deliberately disingenuous at worst. Also, as has been mentioned, if almost after every misstep, you opine that “you’re not perfect, just forgiven,” then that becomes little more than an excuse that’s easily ignored. If you want to shine your light out from under a bushel, then just take your lumps and then next time, Correct Your Behavior. Because it does indeed take more than a pithy saying and a quasi-apology for the world to see that conversations with you aren’t wasted. Again, talk person-to-person, rather than adult-to-child (if that’s what you’re aiming for occasionally) or man-to-whatever. It’s only _has_ to be about _you as a person_, sexuality or years lived is unimportant in a text-based medium, as long as you can express yourself as truly human. Ask for help even, that can never hurt and there’s always shit to be learned. Right? I thought the story about the “white eyebrows” was hilarious. Perhaps you can continue your hand at some comedy? 🙂 ---
