# Perhaps some of the stickies need to be redone?

First off, we have stickies posted by people who aren’t mods anymore (by **manhattan** in GQ and **Euty** in CS), which has caused some confusion amongst some of our newer members. Also, since they were done before the Big Board Upgrade[sup]TM[/sup] rolling your mouse over them doesn’t let you preview. This could be especially useful for the stickies containing forum rules, such as in the Pit. If they could just roll over them and see the rules, there would be zero excuses for breaking the rules (not that there are any now).
While you’re at it, I think some could probably be condensed a bit. For example, couldn’t the three stickies in the Pit be combined together? Just make “no wishing death” a rule, and have the discussion in the same thread.

I, and a few others have brought up issues like this a few times, but the mods, admins, and techies are all pretty swamped, and since the stickies, while a bit cumbersome, are still clear and useful, they’re not much of a priority.

No perhaps about it. We’ve been discussing it and looking for time to get it happening. We really want to update the FAQ to give our members global info and then individual stickies for the areas where there are regional differences, as what’s perfectly cool in one area is not such a good idea somewhere else.
So hang on, we’re getting there.

If we’re taking a vote, I’d vote for only one or two stickies at a time.
More than that and they blend into the background and I never see them at all.
Looking up at them now, there are a couple I’ve missed just for that reason.

Thank you, but no; we’re currently figuring out what we want to put in the FAQ (versus stickies), the process is ongoing.
We will appreciate your input once we get it re-established, as we want it to be useful for you; a FAQ is no good if no one reads it. We are by no means perfect and will want to hear from you as to what works and what needs improvement.
Thanks for the offer; we really do have the greatest bunch of people here. Y’all make this community what it is and mostly it is real good.
