I was wandering around on the internet and I came across this challenge.
The object of this puzzle is simple: guess where the photo was taken.
A simple rule but prepare to have your knowledge of geography, history, sociology, architecture, biology, linguistics, meteorology, and quantum physics tested to their limits.

I’m guessing it’s some kind of joke. The obvious answer doesn’t seem like it should be the correct answer, but if you look at the previous contest the obvious answer was the right answer.

It shows you a series of Google Maps street views that could be anywhere… village on Java, Finish backroads, Australian outback. You have to guess on the map where you are. You get points for proximity.

Surprised myself and did surprisingly well. Miss a spot in Nebraska by only 30 miles and another in Jakarta by about 150 miles.

I went all Kübler-Ross on this one.
First stage, pure Curiosity: What the Hell. I’ll click. See what’s up.
Second stage, Disbelief: No. It has to be a trick. See if you can see anything out of place in the blurry bits.
Third stage, Suspicious: Oh, it’s a double-bluff. They think you think it’s complex, but it’s really simple. It’s the anti-joke of trivia games.
Fourth stage, Realization: Nah, this just isn’t that complex. It’s like a game for kids, or upper management.

How exactly are they going to send you spam when they don’t have your email address?
And I read the terms and conditions. They explicitly even mention they don’t send spam.
Unless you’re talking about the fact that they use cookies to send you targeted ads. In which case:
How is what they are doing any different than the vast majority of websites out there, including this very one on which you posted the above message?
