The wife and I were watching reruns of _That 70s Show_ the other night, and were laughing at the violent mood swings Kitty was undergoing during menopause. As an aside, I wondered if she had bad cramps as a teenager. This developed into a discussion of the relationship between period problems and menopause. So, the questions are:

Have there been any studies that examine the correlation between cramps early and hot flashes late? Does being on the pill your entire life have any effect on menopause? Has anybody studied this on such a long-term basis? If so, can you direct me to said study? Thanks.
