I have a friend whose plate reads 1K-334. (Hint: Do the math. Second hint: 1K=1000) Mine just reads CARZCAR My favorite is a green Beetle that reads GRNEGGS ---

I can’t believe I forgot about this one before now. Walking in the parking lot at a place where I worked was a Saab. License plate? SNAAB. I literally laughed out loud. Caught me as very funny. ---

As I was walking out of the gym tonight, I saw a plate that read: MA CRECY I can only assume that the owner of the vehicle has a mother who is an internationally recognized scholar of Crecy, the famous battle of the Hundred Years’ War wherein the outnumbered English kicked the holy crap out of the French. ---

A few from the motorcycle world: Friends of mine, a husband-and-wife couple, both ride BMW motorcycles. Her plate says EISEN, his is PFERDE. Iron Horse, translated. I’ve seen a bike up in Connecticut a few times. A completely outrageous old-style chopped Harley. The plate reads DUI. Seems like that’s just asking to be pulled over, especially if you’re riding a bike with no turn signals, speedometer, front fender, etc., but it’s kind of funny. ---
