I noticed **Boyo Jim** has a personalized member status description - “Best of the Worst”. I want one! I have won several prizes - “Worst Bowler” might be good. Or perhaps “Most Improved”? But seriously, what’s the deal? ---

(If that makes sense… I’m sure it doesn’t) Details, and his masterpiece, can be found [here.](http://www.sjsu.edu/depts/english/2007.htm) But considering **Asimovian** didn’t get a customized title for introducing Bacon Salt to the dope, I don’t think TPTB will be handing them out for anything less than the absolute acme of achievements. ---

Jury’s still out on Bacon Salt. I’ve already had one person tell me it’s good on ice cream so now we’re really wondering what we have turned loose here. We appreciate all of our Teeming Millions, whatever their accomplishments. But some are truly special. Ghanima, I’m sure you’re a wonderful human being but the bar is higher than that for real recognition around here. ---

[/QUOTE] Yes, it’s all a rich tapestry, but what exactly are the mechanics of this sort of thing. Does an admin randomly decide who is worthy? Does one request such a thing? Is there a vote? Who decides what the title is? That sort of thing. ---

Bulwer-Lytton is a well known competition and Boyo Jim was in the news, so common sense would tell you that you need to be recognized for something kinda special. Bring us something of equal worth and yeah, we’ll consider it. ---

Since Tuba (it was you, wasn’t it?) did manage to create a small scandal by giving someone the ASSHAT tag. (It was very funny, unfortantely not everyone thought it was funny). So one person deciding lightly to change a tag - doesn’t happen. ---

No, it was Lynn who felt that people deserved tags like “too stupid to live” and the like. However richly earned and deeply deserved we try not to do that now. But yes, the decision to confer special status on Boyo Jim for his accomplishment was a group thing, as is a lot of what goes on here. It’s not confined to mere titles; we want to know of the great things that happen to you, the books you publish, the charities you uphold, the work you do that makes the world just a tiny bit better. You’re all members of this community and what you do is meaningful. So let us know. ---
