I was in Cuzco, Peru recently and there was this particular piece of music played on a flute there. I heard it dozens of times. Does anybody know the title or where I can get a copy of the song. I know this is very vague but maybe somebody can guess what I’m referring to.

I was in Cuzco recently as well. I heard “El Condor Pasa” played several times – this is ther Andean song incorporated into the Simon and Garfunkel hit “If I Could”. If that’s not it, maybe one of these:

Go figure, I came in here to say Simon and Garfunkel too.

Never been to Peru, but in Oaxaca, Mexico I saw a Peruvian band play, and they also kept doing El Condor Pasa. They really love that song.

Note that Peru had the song before (probably long before) S&G did, but for some reason when I first heard it I got the idea that Peru had ripped it off S&G! 🙂
