I’m annoyed by drivers who seem to purposely drive at a constant speed regardless of the speed limit. On my commute (a divided 4 lane highway) the speed limit is 75 MPH most of the way. One stretch passes through the edge of a small town, and the limit drops to 65 MPH in this section. Most of the time I end up passing someone going about 70 in the 75 section, only to be passed by them when I slow down in the 65 section. Inevitably I end up having to pass them again when the speed limit goes back up to 75. ---

Re: roundabouts, I mostly hate them as a pedestrian in, say, a downtown, Main Street shopping district. There’s really no good way to cross without causing, or experiencing, anxiety. I also once lived in a town with a big roundabout capped with several traffic lights in odd places. It was a cluster. I would go several blocks out of my way to avoid navigating that. Ok, here’s mine, that I’m sure to be alone in. I guess it’s more than a quirk than a pet peeve, but still. I hate feeling half-naked on the toilet. So I really hate using one where I can’t (or shouldn’t) snatch up a towel to use as a lap blanket if I’m going to be there for more than half a minute…which is to say, basically any toilet but one in my house. I also can’t stand when people have shelved or moved around things on a shelf (pantry, mostly) so that you can’t read the label. :mad: Oh, I thought of another that’s sure to be peculiar to me. People having just one sock on. But that’s basically just my two sons. They are 12 years apart in age, but I’ve caught both of them, regularly, lounging around with only one sock on. Who does that?! My girls don’t do that. Some sort of benign hereditary mental illness, I guess. Last one, maybe not unique to me, but I’m super attuned to it. People clinking their silverware or drinking vessels against their teeth…or worse, scraping. Doesn’t it bother them? Why would this even happen more than once in a blue moon? But I’ll hear it 2 dozen times from the same person in the same meal. It makes me feel as though I’ve sat down on nettles. ---

So, I can’t believe I’m the only one with this peeve, but I’ve read the last three pages of this thread and no-one has even hinted at this: I watch YouTube on my television (not a computer) and hate Hate HATE when the little picture or caption which you click on to play the video is clearly fake and shows something that definitely won’t be in the video itself. It’s click bait of course, but does anyone honestly believe that someone captured footage of a highland gorilla wrestling a lion to the death, or that this really is footage of some guy standing in front of an eighty foot long alligator? Seriously, it’s like the maker of this YouTube video is indicating that specifically I am so stupid that I’d believe this. What’s worse is that I now want to watch the video to prove that I was right all along, but I can’t because then the click bait would win. ---

I’ve had three occasions i remember where I found myself on hold with the audio suggesting that I chat with a representative to solve my problem. In two of them I did so while still on hold and my issue was resolved before a live person ever answered. In the third they answered but I hung up becuase the chat was working fine. Not online exactly but very effective. ---

Even after silly or flamboyant intros, they take forever to get to the point, or the “meat” of what the title promises…making me feel like I’ve been clickbaited. Of course too, right after the intro, they fart around for what seems like a full minute urging us to subscribe to their channel or “like” the video. heh history had an excellent documentary mini series on the robber barons called “the men who built America” and they had a recap every 20 minutes of everything you just watched so there was maybe an hour of something new out of 2 I just used the dvr ff to pas them … so much wasted time …… ---
