alright…i just have to start this thread to see what kind of feedback i get what is everyone’s weirdest pet peeve? my family claims i’m weird because i cant stand listening to people breathe, chew, or sniff…am i insane/strange or do people acctually agree with me? anyone have a pet peeve thats more absurd than mine? ---

People who snap and pop chewing gum. _grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr_ Oh, and people who tell me jokes. Particularly _long_ jokes. God, I can’t stand it! Jokes are for people who have to borrow somebody else’s sense of humor. Ugh. ---

People who walk behind me. If you were to film me walking about in a town/shops you’d think I was mental. I make excuses to let the poeple walking behind me overtake. I hate it when people are looking at the same stall as me. I twiddle my thumbs somewhere else until the stall is free. I can’t tolerate being near complete strangers unless I am in a queue. ---

The lady at the chechout stand who patiently waits until the clerk tells her " That will be $23.56, please" and then she rustles around in her purse and pulls out her checkbook. Did she think it would be free! Doesn’t she realize she is in the express lane! OOOOHHHHH…I’m feeling much better now, thank you… ---

People with really long hair who flick it around…it seems kind of germy or something. People who clip their nails or apply makeup in public. ---

People that stand too close to me to talk to me…and when I step back…or move to the side…they follow me…it just weirds me out Oh and parents that control their kids in public…just let them run wild…tearing things up…screaming at the top of their lungs. If you can’t control them, leave them at home or with a sitter. And I have to agree with **rhysean** on the hair thing…Being one that just recently had hair to my waist, it used to drive me nuts to see other women swinging and flipping their hair around, usually when I was out enjoying a few happy hour drinks with some friends and would notice these girls, I would be compelled to take my hair down and start flipping my hair too, as a way to poke fun at them, making sure I flipped it hard enough to hit them, (they were usually at the next table) they got the point and stopped:D ---

You know those signs in front of stores…that the management can change daily or hourly? I can’t deal with any misspellings…and they **all** have misspellings. I have been forcibly held back from pulling over to fix the backwards “E” or the **“WE SALE FOR LESS”** atrocities. This is why Valium was invented. ---

I so agree w/the people breathing thing… I went to the movies w/my mom one time and she’s a heavy breather. I was almost distracted through the whole move because I was growing more and more irritated by the moment… I also agree with the chewing, but only over the phone. I can’t stand it in my ear. My own pet peeves though I can’t stand spit. I don’t like to see it, i don’t like to feel it. I don’t like when people are eating and they get food on the corners of their mouth and don’t wipe it. I can’t stand when food drops on people’s beards. I can almost be sick to my stomach about these things. Oh and people who bite their nails. Also, people who, when I’m ringing them up ask me if every item was on sale and what the sale price was. I think that’s it for now. ---

Punctuation errors on things everyone’s going to see, like big ads in the newspaper, on buildings, on t-shirts! I was taking a waltz and two-step workshop and my partner called from a store where he had found the perfect t-shirt for us to wear to that weekend. It said “Friend’s don’t let friend’s linedance”. ACK! When I saw them I could barely breathe, I wondered feverishly if white-out worked on cotton knits! ---
