Well, well – today Facebook popped up a memory post featuring these three images of Tribble, a cat from many decades ago. Shoulder rider, purr machine, hauler of assorted objects around the apartment, and an absolute lovebug. And yes, her eyes were two different colors. My Atilla is not back up to where he was, but he;s a little better. He walks better but still doesn’t get on the chair or bed. And since I’m giving him the soft food he wants to eat more. If he sees me go to the kitchen he actually gets up and follows me meowing a little. I have to watch while he eats or the dog will muscle in, but one time, when I poured the dog;s kibble first Atilla tried to get it too. And I saw him grooming the dog. ---

Cygnus just completely disappeared while on a trip to my parent’s place. I checked in every nook and cranny I could reasonably think of, until finally I decided to check the fireplace: [![Imgur](https://i.imgur.com/LB1amw7.jpeg "imgur.com") ](https://imgur.com/LB1amw7) Thankfully it’s not an active fireplace and the flue is blocked off, plus it’s reasonably clean. But damn, Cygnus won hide-and-seek there. Completely invisible without a light. Of course, he could see _out_ of his hidey-hole just fine, and watched everyone scrambling around searching for him. ---

That is, I found her when she sat up, at which point her ears became visible. But as long as she was down in the basket she was entirely invisible. Once I knew that she liked to sleep in there, if I was looking for her I would reach up and move the basket a little; that often made her sit up if she was in there, but even if not I could tell by the weight of the basket when I pushed against it. One of the current batch has one of his Spots on the top shelf of my closet, way in the back, on a dark sweater. He’s a dark colored cat, at least when he’s curled up so underneath white doesn’t show. Having figured that out once when he moved and made noise while I was hunting, now if I’m looking for him I look up there with a flashlight. – come to think of it, I need to pry myself loose from the computer and go make sure that he’s in. He’s probably on my bed; but he might be on that shelf. ---
