> [@ParallelLines](#): > > That’s a cute cat, but like all cats, I hear their thoughts and they all say “I crave violence!” Oh yeah. This fella acts sweet as can be, but deep down he’s a real punk. He’s getting his cajones cut tomorrow so we’ll see how fearless he is with no testicles. Like all cats, good thing he’s cute… ---

I often would call my late cat Schooner “No Neck”. Can’t imagine why. Today’s blast from the past: Ed, of the Eddy, Teddy, and Freddy brother trio I adopted as four-month-olds from a rescue (adopt two, get one free!). He was tall, rangy, good-natured, dignified (for a cat), welcoming to visitors astonished at his size, and kind to kittens. Not a pet picture per se, but since it is dachshund related and I am a dachshundphile, I thought I’d share this interesting story (gift link): [Valerie the Dachshund Lost on Kangaroo Island in Australia, But Still Alive!](https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/28/world/australia/dachshund-dog-australia-island.html?unlocked_article_code=1.7k4.kmiT.Iwnk9nO5Y8vM&smid=url-share) Poor Valerie! I hope she is soon reunited with her family. ---
