22! Wow, Toby might be a contender for reaching 20,21. He’s a survivor, the Vet says he’s in pretty good shape. Has a thyroid condition managed by meds and his bloodwork comes back normal. He can’t groom himself very well too stiff and needed a bath and a sedated grooming session last year to rid him of mats (obvious in that picture). I’ve been spritzing him this winter with Burts Bees dry shampoo for cats then gently brushing Him. Seems to keep the dry skin at bay and silkens his coat. Yeah. When I was a teenager we got a lab/german shepherd mix, Maggie. She was the same size as our cat, Pokie. The first day we had her home, she went bounding up to Pokie, who calmly swatted her across the nose. Maggie grew up to be about 70 pounds. She and Pokie were fast friends for the next twelve years, until he passed on. But there was never any question who was in charge. ---

I haven’t been able to post pics here since October as I lost access to my old Flickr account because I got rid of everything Comcast and my Comcast email was connected to it. Couldn’t remember my password for the life of me and I had no way to get it sent to me. Whatever. I’ve got a new account rolling. So here are some pictures of my happy boy Bob. He’s been coming with me to work at doggy daycare and he’s been having a blast. The coaches all tell me he’s the happiest boy in the room. In more dour news, one of my co-workers just lost her puppy. Little Delo had some neurological issues with balance but she lived her best life, had fun and everybody loved her. She just went south real quick and went from this goofy little pup to not eating or drinking and she just couldn’t make it. RIP Delo.
