I know what you mean about smiles. Every time I see the pictures in this thread (or the **[Weekend Puppy Play Dates](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/weekend-puppy-play-dates/946311/25)** thread) I find I have a smile on my face! Puppies and kittens are good for the soul, even when they’re all grown up.
