Hollywood is very good at disguising the height of actors. The correctly framed shot and camera angle works amazingly well. Sometimes the actor is on a rise and costar is below on the side of the hill. Or he’s on top of the curb and the costar stands on the parking lot I’ve seen actors in paparazzi shots and was surprised. Seeing them in a group shot makes a big difference. I realize careful camera shots doesn’t work for Dinklage. ---

There may be little people performers saying “sure Peter, you can afford to be indignant, but we need what work is out there.” If you’re familiar with Oscar Wilde’s _Birthday of the Infanta,_ that would be a better part for a little person: main character, emotional depth, audience identification. But Wilde’s fairy tales out-downer even Hans Christian Andersen’s. [A biopic of an actual little person](https://historyofyesterday.com/court-dwarfs-throughout-history-30e95411b3d) would be swell. Little is known of their actual lives, so a lot could be plausible speculation. General Tom Thumb met so many great personages of the 19th C., he could be made into a version of Harry Flashman. ---

Luckily, _…and the Seven Dwarfs_ can be dropped from the title without causing any confusion. Just cast seven small actors without dwarfism and point out somewhere in the script that short men make good miners. All seven have personality quirks already without adding a characteristic associated with a sensitive genetic condition. ---
