Pharma industry - Pure profit, or actually trying to cure?

You’d a thunk that “they” would have had the foresight to make FDA approval a smidge easier than it currently is.

Well, it’s an all-powerful conspiracy with a lot of inefficient temp workers, who are quietly eliminated when they start complaining about poor training and buried in mass graves in Area 51.

I think, in general, business and politics are too cozy in this country, and that goes for biotech and pharmaceuticals as much as anything else. There is a powerful lobby out there, and I feel like a bit of an ass for not appreciating that sooner than I did. But it’s one thing to say big business has too much power over policy, and another to claim those businesses are deliberately conspiring to kill all research into cures so that they can keep the sick of the world dependent on their drugs for life. I mean, if that were even possible to implement and get away with, I’m sure somebody out there would be unscrupulous to try it, but come on. Pharma’s not that powerful. I don’t think any entity is even remotely.

Can’t you just work it out with a pencil?
