Surely you didn’t think that [Fred Rogers](http://www.godhatesfags.com/fliers/mar2003/Mr_Rogers_3-3-2003.pdf) would escape eternal damnation and the righteous torment of a God with perfect hate. After all, he was the Sissy Pied Piper Leading America’s Children To Damnation (and also, incidentally, an ordained Presbyterian minister, which presumably makes him no better than any other mainstream Christian minister). Except for the fact that he really seems to take himself seriously, Phelps seems to be nothing more than the hugest troll ever seen. And I know that by posting this here I’m feeding him, as I’m sure he regularly visits here to see what Sodomite America is saying about him. Yet I can’t witness this latest outrage by that sorry excuse for a mass of protoplasm without saying something. ---

Not only does Fred think Mr. Rogers is in Hell, there is also everyone who died in the attacks on 9/11, the astronauts killed when Columbia blew up, those who dies in the Murragh Federal Building, two cops here in Topeka whose helicopter crashed…I could go on but why? If you don’t agree with him you will be in Hell, or so he thinks. But poor ol’ Fred is getting to be old hat here in Topeka. If you want extra juicy scandal now you have to talk about our recently resigned Shawnee County Treasurer, Rita Cline. She’s as homophobic as Phred. Rita was always what you would call eccentric, but she’s gone off the deep end lately. She’s the one who put up the signs in the DMV “In God We Trust” and dared anyone to say it was “religious” When an acquaintance of mine wrote to her about it Rita responded, on official county stationery, that said acquaintance, if she didn’t believe in God, was not a patriotic American. When we tried last year to get the city council to include sexual orientation in the city anti-discrimination ordinances, it was Rita who led the opposition. She imported a rabbi from New York, one Yehuda Levin, who is to Jews more or less what Fred is to Christians. Do a google search on his name and you will see what I mean. Said change in the ordinance didn’t pass. When there was a Unity and Pride week here in Topeka, Rita hung around the edges of the events, trying to get attendees to let her pray for them, and anoint them with oil to attempt to lead them away from homosexuality. But Rita recently resigned from her position as County Treasurer over a financial scandal. She made a contract buyout to a dept. employee(whom she hadn’t been authorized to hire in the first place, \* then\* it turns out they are going into business together. And she used department funds to hire a lawyer to defend her. WAIT! I know this is getting long, but now Rita Cline says that she was FORCED to resign, and whose fault is it? Gays of course. If anyone goes to Hell (assuming it exists), it’ll be Fred himself for what he’s done to his family. Ever read about the man and his past? The level of abuse he inflicted on his children is appalling. ---

From what I hear, Fred’s health is failing, and he’s going to be able to test these whackjob theories of his out once and for all. As to the church after Fred’s buried? I see two possibilities: 1. Fred dies, the church loses its focus, and everyone goes his or her separate way. Then the kids rack up about $3 billion in psychiatrist bills. 2. Fred dies, one of his sons tries to take over the church, and thanks to his mental illness and poor management almost immediately turns the demonstrations overtly violent and everyone involved gets long stretches of prison time. Maybe Jack Chick was wrong–recall that Chick said that Bewitched was Satan’s favorite TV show, but apparently Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was Satan’s favorite TV show. Damn you to hell, Jack Chick!!! How dare you utter such blasphemies–suggesting that another show could possibly be more evil than Mr. Rogers Neighborhood??? :eek: Mr. Rogers wanted us to be gentle, to get along with each other, and to be in touch with our feelings–such effeminate traits only lead to one conclusion–GAY!!! :eek: Also, I believe he encouraged sharing with others–COMMIE!!! :eek: Mr. Phelps has a serious hell fetish. ---

You know, I used to think Pat Robertson was a whacko fundie Christian. Then I learned about Jack Chick, and Robertson suddenly seemed almost reasonable. 'cause Jack Chick was so out there, y’know? Could you be any crazier? Apparently you can, because then I found out about Fred Phelps. Now, Jack Chick doesn’t seem so bad. I mean, he did that comic a couple months ago where his wierd, John Waters-lookalike protagonist protected a Muslim guy from an angry mob. Sure, it ended with the Muslim guy being being saved from his heathen ways through exposure to Jack Chick’s Patented Anti-Logic, but at least Chick was taking a stand against beating people to death in the streets. Which is more than you can say for Phelps. Of course, now I’m wondering who’s going to come down the pike next. I’m not optomistic.
