I was coming home from the hospital this afternoon and had WMMR on. I was not paying complete attention, but they were rocking. I got home and texted my step daughter alerting her to tune in.

About two PM they morning show guys (Preston & Steve) made the announcement. They had to wait until the relatives were notified.

Robert has been the afternoon guy on one of our biggest stations since 1081. It seems to have interviewed most everyone in the business in one decade or another. Had a story for every occasion. He will be missed.

Here it gets weird, I have the TV on now, they run a 24-hour live stream on news and weather. Not a word about this story even by 4PM. I suppose they are not really set up for real live news.
