# Phlegm...(TMI alert)

For the past couple of days, I 've been enduring some annoying chest congestion.

I’ve started to bring up the mucus…phlegm…and noticed something;

Phlegm has a particular color, and a rather distinctive _flavor_:eek:.

Are these qualities due to pus in the mucus?
